What is Photography to us…

Some say it could be in our blood and some say we are just natural.  Whatever you want to call it, we were born to do photography.

When we were young, we always made fun of our relatives, especially our mom. She always wanted to take a picture every second she had the camera out. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the one that started the stereotype of how Asians love taking pictures! We never really understood why she always wanted to capture every single moment of our lives, every funny and comical face we provided to her when she tells us to say “Cheese”. The more she wanted point that camera to us the more it made us run away from the camera!

A photography bug was flying around one day and bit us real bad. Instead of our facing swelling up like a tomato, we were greeted with a sudden realization. A realization why our mother did what she did with that camera. A realization that Photography is art, and it is beautiful. The more I point the camera to my subject, the more I acknowledge why it is important to all of us. Acknowledging the beauty of every captured moment, creating a story of a candid shot, or the emotions shared between every photo are the things that keeps us motivated to be the best and most creative photographers out there.
